Numărul turiștilor cazați în primul trimestru, în diminuare

În primul trimestru din anul curent numărul turiștilor cazați în structurile de primire turistică colective cu funcțiune de cazare a constituit 22,1 mii persoane, ceea ce reprezintă doar 57% din numărul înregistrat în trimestrul I 2020, potrivit datelor din Raportul privind evoluția social-economică a Republicii Moldova, publicat de Ministerul Economiei și Infrastructurii. Astfel, turismul  rămâne a fi unul dintre sectoarele economice cele mai afectate de pandemie.

 
Din numărul total de turiști cazați în ianuarie-martie anul 2021 14,8 mii sunt turiști locali și 7,3 mii - vizitatori străini.
 
Potrivit Raportului, printre factorii care au influențat evoluția turismului sunt: sistarea temporară a activității companiilor din sector ca urmare a măsurilor de protecție a sănătății și de prevenire a răspândirii COVID-19, restricțiile de călătorie adoptate la nivel național și internațional în perioada pandemiei, dar și descreșterea cererii de servicii turistice din partea populației.
