Крупные банки могут покинуть Великобританию из-за "брексита" уже в начале 2017 года, считает глава Ассоциации британских банкиров (BBA) Энтони Браун. В большинстве международных банков сейчас есть проектные группы, которые решают, какой объем деятельности им необходимо перенести, чтобы гарантировать дальнейшую возможность обслуживания клиентов, в какие сроки и как лучше всего это сделать, - отметил он. По словам главы ВВА, небольшие банки начнут переезжать еще до Рождества, крупные, как ожидается, - в первом квартале следующего года. Настоящие проблемы для бизнеса начались не на следующий день после референдума. - объясняет Браун. - Они начнутся после того, как мы покинем ЕС. Энтони Брауна считает, что может сложиться ситуация, когда большая часть торговли между Британией и Европейским Союзом в финансовом секторе «окажется, в лучшем случае, под вопросом с юридической точки зрения, а в худшем просто станет незаконной, так как за ночь банки потеряют разрешение регуляторов предоставлять услуги». Существует реальный риск перебоев на европейских финансовых рынках, - подчеркивает глава Ассоциации. Ранее аналитический центр EY Item Club выпустил доклад, согласно которому "брексит" надолго ослабит британскую экономику. Стабильность экономики страны после референдума о членстве Британии в Евросоюзе 23 июня была «обманчивой», считают в EY. В начале октября премьер-министр страны Тереза Мэй сообщила, что Британия официально начнет процесс выхода из состава ЕС не позднее марта 2017 года.
