Австралия предложила Великобритании соглашение о ЗСТ после Brexit

Австралия предложила заключить соглашение о свободной торговле с Великобританией после ее выхода из Европейского союза. Британский премьер-министр Тереза Мэй и глава австралийского правительства Малколм Тернбулл обсудили этот вопрос в ходе телефонного разговора в выходные. Мэй назвала это предложение "очень воодушевляющим" и заявила, что оно свидетельствует о том, что Brexit не станет для страны катастрофой. Я всегда утверждала, что мое правительство добьется успешного выхода из Европейского союза. Мы сделаем это, в частности, путем использования возможностей по заключению соглашений о свободной торговле с различными странами мира. Я считаю весьма позитивным тот факт, что один из наших важнейших международных партнеров уже сейчас предложил заключить подобное соглашение, - отметила новый премьер-министр Великобритании. Объем торговли между Британией и Австралией составляет около $16 млрд в год. Новый британский министр по международной торговле Лиам Фокс заявил, что он рассматривает в настоящее время около десятка проектов подобных соглашений, сообщает BBC. Однако пока Великобритания остается членом ЕС, она не имеет права на заключение таких договоренностей.
